8 years ago I was a dumb 16-year-old with a passion for computer graphics and a thing for dragons.
I was all over the newly-released Legend of Spyro games and thought getting out there with a 3D Spyro was a good way to start meeting like-minded people who would help me grow and learn more about CG.
I had very little skills all around at the time, but to me, the Internet had few secrets. I got my hands on a Spyro model ripped from the PS2 version of the games which I had to clean up by hand. In my youthful naivety I thought that if people knew I didn't create the whole asset from the ground up, nobody would have wasted their time trying to help me, and lying about it was an acceptable white lie that in the long run, wouldn't have mattered anyway, for I would have eventually obtained the skills to back it up. Little did I know that my amateurish Blender renders would have garnered so much attention in so little time.
It wasn't long until people started to doubt me and the guilt was too much to handle.
And so, I abandoned DeviantArt and promised myself I would never come back nor get into a similar situation ever again.

Although I never abandoned my dreams of doing computer graphics for a living, I would at times think back to this "incident" and renew my promise that one day I'd set this right.
8 years later, I started my career in the Creature Department of one of the biggest VFX studios in the world, doing exactly what I once had lied about being able to do.
And, coincidentally, Spyro has regained popularity around the same time thanks to the release of the Reignited Trilogy.
What better opportunity to redeem myself of this blunder I made 8 years ago?

And so, I came back to this deserted and forsaken account, only to brush the webs and dust off and bid it farewell.

The End.

2 min read
One year has passed, no progress has been done since July 2010, I still have ~30 requests pending plus having to finish developing the original Spyro and Cynder models. It's time for me to leave DA. Sorry to anyone who believed in me, but I used to model things as a hobby, and I didn't expect such a success. I didn't expect those kind of requests either. I was more like: "Maybe they are going to ask me to pose Spyro/Cynder in a certain way so they can have a reference when drawing in 2D". Those were my expectations.
It took me 6 months just to make Spyro and Cynder and they were (and still are) in "Alpha developement". I would have had to tear myself apart to satistfy every request, which were even more complicated to do than S&C (Hair, accessories, different shapes, marks, etc.).
It's been awesome when it first started... but then the dark slope begun, and it never ended.

I have been gifted by Iceia 40 credits for no apparent reason. Now Iceia has closed her(?) account and I can't retrieve her. So if she's still on DA under another nickname, I would be grateful to whoever addressed me to her new profile (if it exists), so I could return the credits.

I hope this will end my nightmares which have been harassing me throughout this whole year.

I apologize again for your misplaced truth in me.

Kind regards,

Well, the graphic card issue seems it will be sorted in more time than i thought. If i tell you what happened it will just take too much time and become annoying. Just know that i have to buy a new card probably this saturday, and that they did a huge mistake during the warranty process with the old one. So, the already very long time it takes me to edit the models will be even longer thanks to unable people...

My graphic card has cooling problems, it gets overheated soon, even if it is idle. I'll continue work as soon as i got my graphic card fixed/replaced
